The story starts with you creating your fictional bird, and good news, thereвЂ™s plenty of different options to choose from. Old Thrasher magazines are used as quarter pipes, juice boxes are there to grind on, staplers go together with straws, and anything else a tiny bird could get its hands on litters the environments. It is easy to pick up and play.Д¬ruising around the different environments showcases more of the genius behind the game. RB will pull off a transfer, and the other trigger buttons will make your bird spin and spin. For example, the A button on my Xbox controller pops an ollie, X does a flip trick, Y grinds, and as you could expect, the left analog stick controls your bird, and the right one will control the camera (more on that later).

SkatebirdвЂs controls make for a quick and seamless learning curve for all ages. These are just some of the bird-centric things you may quickly notice in Skatebird.В However, itвЂ™s the familiar gameplay that kept me wanting to come back for more.ДЇor starters, the controls are as simplistic as I would hope for from a new skateboarding video game. ItвЂ™s also a bit unusual (in a good way) to see your bird use its beak to grab the board while pulling off a big 720 nose grab in the air. IвЂ™ve also used it to get specific items like tapes, letters, and snacks. This comes in handy when trying to extend a trick in the air, or quite honestly when trying to get to hard-to-reach areas on the map. By flapping your wings, your bird gets a competitive advantage that Rodney Mullen never had. This is because a bird has wings and can do things skateboarders cannot.

The first and most obvious example of this is that your bird can double ollie at any time. While the gameplay in Skatebird isnвЂ™t perfect, it is precisely what you would expect from a game that features skateboarding birds.

But now, with the game fully downloaded on my PC and a fresh patch installed (this fixes a lot of the camera issues), here is my review of Megan FoxвЂ™s skateboarding brainchild, Skatbird. Unfortunately, life got in the way and made writing a review on the game nearly impossible for the first few weeks. Skatebird was then delayed a month before finally releasing on PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on September 16. If you know, you know (and if you donвЂ™t you should totally go watch that video because itвЂ™s a healing experience, as I suspect playing this game will also be).Since the first time I heard there would be a skateboarding video game that would incorporate most of the things I enjoyed about the Tony Hawk Pro Skater franchise - and actual small little birds - I was immediately hooked. ThereвЂ™s also no doubt in my mind that this game was inspired by that viral video of a capybara in a spa bath with an orange on his head. TheyвЂ™re actually the largest rodents on the planet, and also happen to be one of the cutest animals out there, in my very humble opinion. Personally, I think capybaras are the perfect subject of a relaxing game, considering how chill they are. The gameplay includes activities like decorating the gardens to your liking, growing fruits, crafting soaps, cleaning towels, and of course, taking care of your capybara patrons. Every once in a while, a game will come my way that I am absolutely jumping at the chance to try out, and that is certainly the case with the newest title from Cozy Bee Games, Capybara Spa.Дescribed on its Steam page as a point-and-click simulation game, Capybara Spa allows players to take on the role of, well, whatever you would call someone who runs a spa for capybaras. I can only put so many hours into Stardew Valley, after all, and itвЂ™s good to play something new every once in a while. IвЂ™m always on the hunt for relaxing new indie games.
